Important: Outlook.com / Hotmail / Live requires an app password instead of your regular
password. Follow the steps below to generate one.
How to get your app password
Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in.
Navigate to Security > Advanced security options.
Under "App passwords," click "Create a new app password."
Copy the generated password and use it in KeepMyMail.
KeepMyMail works with any email provider that supports IMAP or POP3 — which is virtually all of them. If your provider isn’t listed above, you’ll need three pieces of information:
Server address — often looks like mail.yourdomain.com or imap.yourdomain.com. Check your provider’s help pages or contact their support.
Port — usually 993 for IMAP or 995 for POP3 (with SSL/TLS).
Password — your regular email password, unless your provider requires an app password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you likely need an app password.
Tip: search for “[your provider name] IMAP settings” — most providers publish their server details on their help pages.
